Manning is 3-0 against the Blue Jackets since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Manning Monarchs will head out on the road to challenge the Aynor Blue Jackets at 7:30 p.m. Manning is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Manning lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a decisive 58-44 margin.
Meanwhile, Aynor's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Dillon, falling 63-20. While losing is never fun, Aynor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Wildcats are ranked 88th).
Despite the loss, Aynor had strong showings from Lucas Kamp, who scored ten points along with four steals, and Kayden Holden, who scored no points.
Manning's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Aynor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.
Manning didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Blue Jackets in their previous matchup on Friday, but they still walked away with a 54-49 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Manning since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
