After four games on the road, Middleton is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Pocatello Thunder at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Middleton beat Owyhee 54-48.
Middleton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zoey Blackwell, who scored 19 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elsie Wyatt, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Pocatello had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They breezed by Highland on the road to the tune of 53-23. Considering Pocatello has won three matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Their wins bumped Middleton to 5-3 and Owyhee to 4-5.
