The North Hardin Trojans will head out to take on the North Bullitt Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If North Hardin beats North Bullitt with ten runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Everything went the Trojans' way against Fort Knox on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Justice Hamilton and Colin Hamilton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hamilton struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Meanwhile, Colin tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave Justice a new career-high. At bat, Hamilton scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Colin scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Colin has become a key player for North Hardin: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-9 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Thomas Lirot, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. North Hardin is undefeated when Lirot posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Andrew Trujillo, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
North Hardin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, while North Bullitt put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Fern Creek. The Eagles put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted against the Tigers since May 5, 2016.
North Bullitt has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Hardin, their record now sits at 8-9.
North Hardin came out on top in a nail-biter against North Bullitt in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
