They came out on top against Lake Country Christian by a score of 57-46 on Saturday. For Trinity Christian, this counts as revenge for the 61-50 defeat Lake Country Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Lake Country Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sean Benton, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Goree, who scored 15 points.
Trinity Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Lake Country Christian, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-23.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will challenge Grace Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trinity Christian in Texas (Grace Prep is ranked 223rd, while Trinity Christian is ranked 833rd). As for Lake Country Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Covenant Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
