Juhnke Came Up Big in Joliet's 28-8 Win
Starting off the list is Joliet's Kaden Juhnke, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Juhnke threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2023.
Unfortunately for Shepherd, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Juhnke. Juhnke threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes, and also rushed for 40 yards the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in September of 2023.

Kooper Beard Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Huntley Project got the W thanks in part to Kooper Beard playing the best football he has all season. Beard rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also picked up 57 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
This year, Beard has caught those 1 touchdown while averaging 25 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 9.83 receiving yards per game.

Grady Schmidt's Big Game Leads Huntley Project over Colstrip
Grady Schmidt put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Schmidt and Huntley Project will venture away from home to square off against Shepherd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Schmidt will face off against Connor Wilson, the Mustangs' star RB. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

While Shepherd might've come up empty on Friday, Wyatt Beddes wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the defeat, Beddes was still balling out as he rushed for 60 yards.
