The Edison Tigers will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Clovis Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while the Drillers are ranked 206th).
Meanwhile, Clovis gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They strolled past Central Valley Christian with points to spare, taking the game 27-12.
Maddox Merrill was a one-man wrecking crew for Clovis as he picked up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown. Deagan Rose also helped out by tossing the rock for 265 yards.
