Victor Valley is 2-8 against Silverado since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Jackrabbits will welcome the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Victor Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 39.8 points per game this season.
Victor Valley's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Adelanto to the tune of 49-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Jackrabbits' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Saints are ranked 680th).
Robert Middlebrooks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 274 yards and two TDs on only 17 passes.
Victor Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Taeon Williams and TrayVon Sanders. Another thorn in Adelanto's side was Jeremiah Hollowell, who picked up two sacks, made eight total tackles, and defended one pass.
Meanwhile, Silverado came up short against Barstow on Friday and fell 24-17. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Aztecs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Victor Valley will have to contain Jayden Pauling as he made an impact in Silverado's last game. He picked up 38 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 36 yards.
Even if they lost, Silverado's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up 0.5 apiece ( Melvin Kanyike, Taron Thompson, Aumaurieon Bailey, and Nheeko White also recorded half a sack). White was another major factor on D, picking up 0.5 sacks, making 17 total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defending one pass.
Victor Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.3 points over those games. As for Silverado, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Victor Valley beat Silverado 7-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Will the Jackrabbits repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
