Jayada Greene made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 5.2 innings pitched. Greene was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Koehler Martin was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cait Klement, who went 1-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, McGregor started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against University. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Saturday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
McGregor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brylee Seward, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.
China Spring's record is now 6-3. As for McGregor, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. China Spring hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. However, it's not like McGregor struggles in that department as they've averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
China Spring came up short against McGregor in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, falling 9-4. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
