Hammond has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Crestwood Knights at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th.
On Thursday, Hammond had to suffer through a rough 73-34 loss at the hands of South Pointe. While losing is never fun, Hammond can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while South Pointe is ranked fourth).
Meanwhile, Crestwood was able to grind out a solid win over Lugoff-Elgin last Monday, taking the game 63-51. The victory was just what Crestwood needed coming off of a 92-29 loss in their prior game.
Hammond's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Crestwood, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
