Johnsonville has not had much luck with East Clarendon recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
East Clarendon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cherish Cochran, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Cochran is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jasmyne Lloyd, who scored 14 points.
Johnsonville bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.4 points per game. As for East Clarendon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Johnsonville will head out on the road to square off against Hemingway at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hemingway comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last ten games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for East Clarendon, they will be playing at home against Latta at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Latta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Tuesday.
