4A Conference 16 recap October 1, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Conference 16 this week, Pinecrest beat Jordan 55-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Patriots.
Purnell Swett scaled the state rankings by moving to 174 from 217 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rams climbed the ranks as a result of besting North Brunswick 27-6.
Richmond's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brent Flowers threw for 90 yards and Tafari Rose had 40 yards receiving. On the ground Flowers chipped in 123 yards. Raheem Bowden helped Richmond's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 39 yards.
Rose was the best wideout in the league this week as the Raiders beat Anson. Bowden helped Richmond's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 39 yards.
Richmond's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Flowers has thrown for 707 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Bowden has 16 catches for 388 yards. Flowers also leads the league in rushing with 760 yards.
Pinecrest took down the Falcons 55-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
