Football Recap: Muenster's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

It's playoff time, and Muenster had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Collinsville Pirates 54-14. Considering the Hornets have won 11 games by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Muenster to victory were Casen Carney and Nolan Peel. Carney threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, while Peel gained 124 total yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Carney has posted since back in September.

The victory (which was Muenster's tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Collinsville, they moved to 12-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Muenster will challenge Gruver at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gruver will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Muenster surely won't give up without a fight. Collinsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
