The Layton Christian Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Judge Memorial Catholic took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Layton Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Layton Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over South Summit, taking the game 29-16. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Layton Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Munroe, who rushed for 53 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries, and also threw for 155 yards and one TD on only 12 passes. That's the most rushing yards Munroe has posted since back in August of 2024. Trevor Halalilo helped out on the ground, rushing for 125 yards and a rushing touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Layton Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 246 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 246 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
Layton Christian Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out Ian Mair. three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Lj Report. Layton Christian Academy is undefeated when Report posts one or more sacks, but 1-2 otherwise. The Eagles got some further help from Mark Montgomery: he made eight total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Judge Memorial Catholic and Providence Hall meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Bulldogs took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.
Judge Memorial Catholic's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Layton Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Everything came up roses for Layton Christian Academy against Judge Memorial Catholic in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 35-0 victory.
