The Sealy Tigers''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wharton 66-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Sealy, who have now won three matchups by 35 points or more so far this season.
Sealy had a senior duo take command as Bryson Johnson rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries and Reid Miller rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns.
Wharton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jacarious Wiley, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and Jk Baldridge who rushed for 70 yards on only nine carries. Wiley was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Sealy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Wharton, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Sealy will take on Sweeny at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sweeny knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Sealy likes a good challenge. As for Wharton, they will be playing at home against Bellville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bellville will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
