The Danville Ironmen will head out on the road to face off against the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Danville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 140 points over their last three contests.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Danville on the road against Berwick as the team secured a 49-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Danville, who have now won six matches by 32 points or more so far this season.
Danville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Madden Patrick out in front who threw for 303 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Patrick is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Johnson, who picked up 128 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 49 points the game before, Hollidaysburg were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 48-7 loss at the hands of Selinsgrove. While losing is never fun, Hollidaysburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Selinsgrove is ranked 35th).
Hollidaysburg's loss came about despite a quality game from Caden DeLattre, who picked up 139 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Danville's win bumped their season record to 7-1 while Hollidaysburg's loss dropped theirs to 3-4.
