Piute was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  53-44 to the Wayne Badgers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  45-38  back in December of 2024.
  Blake Peterson was  his usual excellent self,  going 7 of 14  on his way to 22  points in addition to six  assists and three  steals for Wayne. Another player making a difference was  Hunter Robins, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and ten  rebounds.
Piute's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Wayne, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piute has  already played their next  game (against Bryce Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wayne will challenge Milford at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Milford will roll in looking for their  14th straight  win, something Wayne surely won't give up without a fight.
