The Meek Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past Cherokee with points to spare, taking the game 26-12. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Meek also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Cherokee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jb Dean. Despite the final result, he rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Meek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Cherokee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meek will take on Oakman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cherokee, they will be playing at home against Hackleburg on Thursday. Hackleburg will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
