On Saturday, Jeffersonville came up short against Brownstown Central and fell 60-48.
Jeffersonville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Cooper, who scored 13 points. Shawn Boyd was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Jeffersonville struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Jeffersonville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Brownstown Central, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jeffersonville will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Floyd Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Floyd Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 571 points over their last nine matches. As for Brownstown Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Silver Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday.
