Curwensville had lost four straight at home, but  on Thursday they dropped their record down to 5-5 to make it five. They came up short against  the Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs, falling  14-0.  In other batting news,  McKenna Black was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024.  Jaylee Swindell was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Curwensville and Claysburg-Kimmel should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Golden Tide will  square off against  Mount Union  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday with a big rank  advantage  (165 vs. 347). Meanwhile,  Claysburg-Kimmel (ranked 22nd) will meet Tussey Mountain (ranked 285th)  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
