Brother Rice extended the longest winning streak in Catholic Central this week by beating St. Mary Prep, 31-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
University of Detroit Jesuit fell to Catholic Central 42-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Sam Badalamenti was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 141 yards on 21 carries as De La Salle Collegiate beat the Eaglets. Allen Stritzinger also contributed to the rushing game with 60 yards on the ground.
Albert Fracassa's team's Alex Malzone and Corey Lacanaria led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Malzone has thrown for 1,190 yards this season, while Lacanaria has 32 catches for 494 yards. Badalamenti from the Pilots leads the league in rushing with 422 yards.
The most important game in Catholic Central this week will be the match up between the Shamrocks and St. Mary Prep. Catholic Central enters the game ranked fourth in the state, while George Porritt's team ranks 12th.
Tom Mach's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 42 points on the Cubs.
