There's no place like home for the Cincinnati Christian Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 49-40 victory over Cincinnati College Prep Academy on Wednesday. This was payback for Cincinnati Christian, who suffered a 38-23 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cincinnati Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Savannah Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Davis, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Cincinnati Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Cincinnati College Prep Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cincinnati Christian will square off against St. Bernard-Elmwood Place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cincinnati College Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against DePaul Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
