Make it nine blowout wins for the Lapwai Wildcats this season. They blew past Kamiah, posting a 69-42 win at home. The victory was nothing new for Lapwai as they're now sitting on five straight.
Lapwai had a senior duo take command as Kase Wynott dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists and Ahlius Yearout scored 23 points. Wynott is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Joseph Payne, who scored 11 points.
Lapwai pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.06 points. As for Kamiah, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Lapwai will play host again and welcome Potlatch, where tip off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Potlatch will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Kamiah, they will head out on the road to take on Clearwater Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Clearwater Valley is ranked 74th, while Kamiah is ranked 96th).
