Fairview dropped their record down to 5-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the Slippery Rock Rockets. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Tigers, who until this contest were averaging 3.25 runs allowed.

As for Slippery Rock, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

For Slippery Rock's part, Isaac McCandless was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. McCandless was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Kunsman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Casey Darr also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Looking ahead, Fairview will take on Conneaut Area at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Slippery Rock, they will face off against Titusville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Slippery Rock's pitchers better be ready for this one: Titusville has averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
