Lexington gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Marquette Crusaders. The Minutemen haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Lexington easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Marquette lost, don't look at Hailey Abbott. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs.

Coming up, Lexington is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marquette, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Newark at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
