The Norfolk Panthers entered their tilt with the South Sioux City Cardinals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Norfolk blew past South Sioux City, posting a 67-29 victory at home. With that win, Norfolk brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Chase Swanson was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 15 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Taivien Winsley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Norfolk's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for South Sioux City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norfolk will take on Columbus on Friday. Columbus has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. South Sioux City is on the road again on Friday and play against Omaha Northwest on January 12th. Hopefully Omaha Northwest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
