The St. Ignatius Wildcats will face off against the McKinley Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
St. Ignatius fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mentor on Friday and snuck past 10-7. That's two games straight that St. Ignatius has won by exactly three points.
McKinley never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Strongsville last Friday. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with a 37-13 victory. Given McKinley's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Strongsville is ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Ignatius' win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for McKinley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
