The Etna Lions will take on the Burney Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Etna is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Loyalton 17-6. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Etna got a massive performance out of Kami Hyatt, who went 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Those four runs gave Hyatt a new career-high. Julianna Case was another key player, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4.
Etna lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Burney made sure to put some runs up on the board against Chester on Tuesday. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Volcanoes. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by ten runs or more this season.
Alexis Witzel spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Aaliyah Perez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Joselyn Peckham, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Burney's victory bumped their record up to 18-8-2. As for Etna, the win got them back to even at 14-14.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Etna hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. However, it's not like Burney struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
