The Davis Wolves and the Jones Longhorns squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Davis Wolves had to settle for second. Davis took a 30-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jones. Davis' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Clayton Creasey, who rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Creasey was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Isaiah Sawyer was in the mix as well, providing Jones with two touchdowns.
Davis' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Jones, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 10-2 record.
Davis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jones will square off against Victory Christian at TBD on Friday. Victory Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Jones likes a good challenge.
