The Liberty Leopards had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Bristol by a score of 28-18 on Saturday. That ten points margin sets a new team best for Liberty this season.
Despite the loss, Bristol still got an impressive performance from Payton Brook, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Briauna Klingensmith, who scored three points along with two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bristol struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Bristol, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Liberty will be playing in front of their home fans against Newton Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bristol, they will head out on the road to square off against Lordstown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Lordstown comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
