The Wood County Christian Wildcat will head out on the road to face off against the Hundred Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hundred took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Wood County Christian, who comes in off a win.
Wood County Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Beallsville by a score of 43-33 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Hundred couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a rough 90-49 loss at the hands of Cameron. Hundred has not had much luck with Cameron recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Hundred had strong showings from Colt Sandy, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds, and Brayden Bartrug, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds.
Wood County Christian's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Hundred, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Wood County Christian couldn't quite finish off Hundred when the teams last played back in February and fell 48-46. Can Wood County Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
