Baseball Recap: Jesuit Finds Home Field Redemption Against Badin

There's no place like home for Jesuit, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Badin Rams 3-1.

Wilson Andersen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

At the plate, Jesuit's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brody Smith, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Jesuit hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Badin struck out seven times.

Jesuit's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Badin, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Jesuit will host IMG Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Ascenders will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Badin, they will square off against Tampa Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
