The Mineola Mustangs had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Holy Trinity 57-40 on Wednesday.
Despite the loss, Holy Trinity still got an impressive performance from Maya Logie, who scored 28 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals.
Mineola's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Holy Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Mineola will be playing at home against Kings Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Holy Trinity, they will face off against Sacred Heart Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
