The Renaissance Academy Knights and the Lehigh Valley Academy Jaguars will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
Last Tuesday, Renaissance Academy lost to the Pioneers on the road by a decisive 48-30 margin. While losing is never fun, Renaissance Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 621st, while the Pioneers are ranked 139th).
Renaissance Academy's defeat came about despite a quality game from DJ Savior, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Lehigh Valley Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Roberto Clemente Charter School by a score of 55-42.
Lehigh Valley Academy found their leader in underclassman Ziyon Wilkins, who scored 23 points. Gavin Varner was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Renaissance Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Lehigh Valley Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.
