Kennedy came out on top against Colton on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 15-run third inning. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Vikings. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.
Grace Traeger made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Traeger was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brianna Traeger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Audrey Brenden was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Kennedy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Kennedy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Colton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7-1.
