Even though the Viewmont Vikings scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Northridge Knights still came out on top. Northridge strolled past Viewmont with points to spare, taking the game 75-60. The win made it back-to-back wins for Northridge.
Viewmont's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Draper, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Weaver, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.
Viewmont's lineup was just a bit different on Friday as Carson Tovey got a bit more time on the court (19 vs. his season average of 9.54). Tovey made the most of the opportunity, scoring eight points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Viewmont struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They are 2-4 when they can't control their own glass like that.
