The Tuscola Mountaineers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They secured a 53-49 W over Smoky Mountain. For Tuscola, this counts as revenge for the 61-13 defeat Smoky Mountain walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Karsen Cherry was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Kendall Williamson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Tuscola's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Smoky Mountain, they bumped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Tuscola will take on West Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Smoky Mountain, they will head out on the road to face off against East Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Kaylee Foushee and Greenlee Flynn.
