The Clearfield Falcons put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Ben Lomond 59-27 on the road. With Clearfield ahead 29-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clearfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ciara De La O, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Xiyah Yarbrough, who scored nine points along with six steals.
Despite the loss, Ben Lomond still got an impressive performance from Dory Jenson, who scored 14 points along with three blocks. The matchup was Jenson's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Clearfield's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Ben Lomond, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Clearfield will be playing at home against Weber at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Weber will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Clearfield is ranked 30th). As for Ben Lomond, they will head out on the road to face off against Maeser Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
