University had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Lincoln on Friday. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While University won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-23.

University now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will square off against Menlo School at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincoln, they will challenge Immaculate Conception at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
