Even though the Hill Falcons have not done well against the Harker Eagles recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Hill enjoyed a cozy 79-64 win over Harker. Given Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while Harker is ranked 453rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Harker's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Advay Monga, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Xing, who scored 15 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Hill and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Harker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Hill will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Evergreen Valley at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. As for Harker, they will face off against Mt. Pleasant at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
