The South Mountain Jaguars can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Metro Tech by a score of 60-51. The victory was just what South Mountain needed coming off of a 69-28 defeat in their prior match.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ace Zambrano, who scored nine points along with three steals. Oswaldo Lopez Vargas was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
South Mountain's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Metro Tech, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-18.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Mountain will take on Sierra Linda at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Metro Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against McClintock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. McClintock will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
