On Wednesday, East Carter got the win against Eminence by a conclusive 61-38. Given East Carter's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Eminence is ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Carter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kinsley Rutledge, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The game was Rutledge's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Adams, who scored 15 points.
East Carter is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Eminence, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
