They came out on top against Modesto Christian by a score of 73-61. The win was all the more spectacular given Weston Ranch's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Modesto Christian is ranked 33rd).
It was another big night for Mateen Rafiq, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 5 assists. He hasn't dropped below 17 points for 14 straight games. Another player making a difference was Darrion Lilly, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Weston Ranch pushed their record up to 25-3 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 92.4 points per game. As for Modesto Christian, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-5.
