Curwensville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Tussey Mountain Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Curwensville was the victim of a tough 30-8 defeat at the hands of Glendale. Curwensville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.
Meanwhile, Tussey Mountain came up short against Clear Spring on Friday and fell 29-22. While losing is never fun, Tussey Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 492nd in Pennsylvania, while Clear Spring is ranked 196th in Maryland).
Despite the loss, Tussey Mountain had strong showings from Noah Lucko, who rushed for 185 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and Isaiah Sosak, who rushed for 195 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Sosak's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Curwensville's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.0 points per game. As for Tussey Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
