The University Charter Trail Blazers will head out on the road to square off against the Pickens Academy Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
University Charter's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Pickens County 17-0. The victory continues a trend for the Trail Blazers in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won four in a row.

University Charter got a massive performance out of Josiah Dubose, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. University Charter is 3-1 when Dubose posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. William Upchurch was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
University Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pickens Academy). They put the hurt on Aliceville with a sharp 17-5 win on Monday. With that victory, the Pirates brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Braden Banks made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Pickens Academy let Hudson Pennington and Ace Gregory run wild. Pennington scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Gregory went 2-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Gregory has posted since back in February. Reece Burroughs also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Pickens Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9 runs. As for University Charter, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. University Charter has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pickens Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
University Charter might still be hurting after the 12-4 loss they got from Pickens Academy in their previous meeting last Friday. Can University Charter avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
