After flying high against Chilton County last Friday, Calera came back down to earth. The Eagles had to suffer through a 42-13 loss at the hands of the Spain Park Jaguars. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ean Williamson, who picked up 97 receiving yards and one touchdown. Williamson really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 80 yards.
Kena Rego had another great game (as he tends to do), picking up 92 receiving yards and three scores for Spain Park. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Rego a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Bradley, who threw for 127 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 90% of his passes.
Calera's record now sits at 2-6. As for Spain Park, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
