Spanish Springs had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Reed Raiders by a score of 13-9 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Maddy Marshall, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Izzy Chisholm, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and five RBI.

Spanish Springs' win bumped their record up to 25-11-1. As for Reed, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 29-7.

Spanish Springs has already played their next contest, a 9-3 defeat against Centennial on the 15th. As for Reed, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-1 loss against Palo Verde on the 15th.
