The Hopewell Titans put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Berry 85-36 at home. Fans of Hopewell have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Hopewell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Derrick Eley, who scored 19 points along with 8 assists and 8 rebounds. Quay Watson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Hopewell pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Berry, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hopewell will take on Harding University at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Berry, they will head out on the road to face off against Rocky River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Rocky River's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
