O'Neill (Highland Falls) made a good run at 13 feet but settled for winning the pole vault at 12-6. The junior, who was presented with her medal by U.S. record holder Jen Suhr, won't be defending her title a year from now as her family is moving to Georgia this summer.

Academy of the Holy Names (Albany) won the 55 dash in 7.02 seconds and then nearly pulled out a victory in the long jump by going 18 feet, 10 inches on her last attempt, good for second place.

Harborfields (Greenlawn) junior Kelsey Margey won the 1,500 in an impressive 4:34.34.
BOYS HIGHLIGHTS
* Oregon recruit Chad Noelle of
Greene continued his monster senior season by taking the U.S. season lead in the 3,200 at 9:08.29.

Francis Lewis (Fresh Meadows) shot putter Chubkwuebuk Enekwechi, fifth as a junior, won handily as his 62-4.50 toss was the only effort over 60 feet.

Vestal senior Josh Miller scored the day's most noteworthy upset, edging national record-holder Strymar Livingston of Christopher Columbus in the PSAL with a 1:20.75 clocking in the 600. Livingston took third in 1:20.87.

Spring Valley junior Winslow Dorsainvil led the qualifying and then won the 55 dash final in 6.33 to crack the national top five for the season.
