Katlyn Chinn was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and six steals for Strom Thurmond. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley French, who scored nine points.
Columbia bumped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Strom Thurmond, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Columbia will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 7:30 p.m. Orangeburg-Wilkinson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Columbia in South Carolina (Orangeburg-Wilkinson is ranked 55th, while Columbia is ranked 271st). As for Strom Thurmond, they will head out on the road to face off against Pelion at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
