Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shawnee). They strolled past the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 74-59. The victory was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shawnee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trevick Bertke, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 rebounds. Those 32 points gave Bertke a new career-high. Tate Bender was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 21 steals.

Shawnee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Shawnee pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lima Central Catholic, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.

Shawnee will be playing at home against Coldwater at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
